| Public details: Calling all puzzlers! I’m hosting a Speed Puzzling afternoon at the Tower Road Library in Gainesville on:
Saturday, September 19
1:00–4:30 PM
We’ll have time for two contests, and possibly three, depending on how quickly the pieces fly!
Teams will race to complete the same puzzle, with bragging rights on the line.
We’ll have a few different ways to compete:
Pairs: 2 people tackling a 500-piece puzzle
Teams: 3 or 4 people tackling a 500-piece puzzle
Cost: Around $10 per contest, depending on the puzzle(s) we select. The cost is based on the puzzle used for each contest and will be divided among the people competing together. So, for a solo contest, one person would cover the full cost of the puzzle. For a pairs contest, the cost would be split between two people. For a team contest, the cost would be divided among the 3 or 4 members of the team.
Come for one contest or stay for the whole afternoon. Whether you’re a seasoned speed puzzler or just curious to see how fast you can turn a pile of cardboard chaos into a finished picture, you’re welcome!
We’re limited to 25 contestants, so please let me know ASAP if you’d like to participate.
