Public details: You Amerigos have heard of the Beatles, right? Did you know that there is another Brity group, the Rutles? The Rutles had quite a similar career to the Beatles. They also started out in the Cavern club in Liverpool, played in the red light district of Hamburg, made a lot of success in England and eventually did bigly in America when they got on the Ed Sullivan show. Then they did the Che Stadium and of course got into drugs, meditation, tea, girlfriends, wives and all kinds of other troubles and so they then quickly broke up. Their career was somehow eclipsed by another Brity group called the Beatles, who are now for some reason much better known. So anyway there is a documentary movie about them "The Rutles: all you need is cash" which I happen to have on a DVD thing. The narrator is Eric Idle, a Monty Pythonish humanoidal, with musical help from the fab four Rutles and Niel Innes, also a Pythonoidal guy. Niel is sometimes known as the 7th Pythoner as he did the "Brave Sir Robin" and other silly songs on "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" and other very silly things in other very silly movies. He was also a founder member of the absolutely unforgettable, very silly but sadly almost totally forgotten “Bonzo Dog Doh-Dah Band”. The Rutles documentary has many other contributors like Mick and Bianca Jagger, Michael Palin, Ron Wood, Paul Simon, John Belushi, Gilda Radner, Bill Murray, Dan Akroyd, Lorne Michaels, Al Franken, Tom Davis, David Frost, Ed Sullivan and some other Brity people you most likely won't have heard of. Also, strangely, George Harrison.
